Everything here is finished by hand

Arham Creations works in brass, copper, stone and wood from a workshop in Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur. Machines cut and rough-form. Every surface a customer touches is worked by hand.

01 · The founder

How it started

Arham Creations was founded in Jaipur by our master artisan, who trained in traditional metalcraft and relief artistry before establishing a dedicated bench of their own.

The first pieces were bespoke brass relief panels made for local residences and families. The studio grew by word of mouth, one room at a time, and still takes commissions the exact same way.

Today the workshop handles décor, customised gifts, Vastu remedial pieces and spatial consultancy, with a close-knit group of skilled craftsmen on the bench.

A portrait at the bench, mid-work, is worth more here than a posed studio shot.

02 · Why Jaipur

The city is the supply chain

Jaipur keeps trades alive that have disappeared elsewhere. Within minutes of our Vaishali Nagar workshop there are foundries, stone yards, enamellers and polishers who have each dedicated decades to one specific craft.

That proximity is why a custom size is a phone call rather than a quotation cycle, and why a damaged edge can be reworked the same week instead of written off.

It also sets the visual vocabulary. Relief work, jali cutting and gemstone inlay are authentic Jaipur idioms, and our catalogue reads as it does because of where it is created.

03 · Making

How a relief panel is made

  1. 01
    Drawing

The motif is drawn at full size on paper and corrected against the wall it is going on. Scale errors are cheap here and expensive later.

  2. 02
    Cutting

Sheet brass or copper is cut to the outline. This is the one stage where a machine does the work.

  3. 03
    Raising the relief

The sheet is worked from behind against pitch until the forms stand proud. Many hours of focused bench time go into a typical panel.

  4. 04
    Chasing

Detail is cut into the face — feather, petal, texture. Nothing is cast or stamped.

  5. 05
    Finishing

Polished, antiqued or left raw, then lacquered if the piece is going somewhere humid.

  6. 06
    Mounting

Fixed to a seasoned teak ground, cleats attached, packed with care for shipping.

The bench, the tools, the noise

Visitors are welcome. Call before you come — if a panel is on the pitch it is better seen mid-work than finished.
